Whew. Long time between posts. What the heck have I been doing all this time, and why would somebody who has a website not update it? Well, for starters I've been gone a lot. I've been out of town the past 3 weekends. I've skied the course on two occasions, total, in June. The first occasion included a FULL PASS through the course @34MPH, in case you missed my tweet. That felt great. The second occasion was a single set in blinding late-afternoon sun, which made it basically worthless. On top of everything else I'm just plain busy. Lots of stuff going on this summer. Just glancing at the calendar I don't see a free weekend for a long, long time. As I type this I'm tired and ready to hit the sack, but I must... write.

I have managed to free-ski a little bit up north. I think I had just under 10 sets of heavy free-skiing in the past 30 days or so, simply because that lake in particular has no slalom course. It's been nice. I've consistently had the line at -22 and the PPSG at 34MPH. I included a video in this post so that you could see what I'm free-skiing like these days. Last year I couldn't even cross the wake with any confidence at -22. Now I skip right over it. Although my form is still far from perfect, I feel roughly like I'm throwing my hips over the wake before the rest of me, in general, which just makes a world of difference. I don't know how I got this way, as I mentioned in the last post, so I guess it's just via water time. There is zero chance of an OTF fall no matter how hard I go at it. That's the feeling, anyway.

In other news, our daughter just rode around the lake on her little O'Brien platform trainer on the 4th for the first time. She's not quite 3 yet, so it was quite an accomplishment. That trainer is an amazing device, by the way. Well made, lightweight (bamboo), and basically insta-planing. Great purchase— worth a free plug, anyway.

Well, check out the video and let me know what you think. I'll do my best to keep everybody updated a little more often than last month.
